About STM

Skills Training Mackay (STM) is a community-based, not-for-profit organisation operating from premises located on the corner of River and Tennyson Streets, Mackay.

The organisation has been operating for over 12 years, and in 1996 changed its name to Skills Training Mackay.

The organisation has a very stable board of directors who contribute their time and expertise at no cost to STM and guide the organisation.

The staff responsible for the Home Assist section has been with the program since its inception.

The manager has previous experience in employment and training, and has held senior management positions with other successful companies.

STM is predominantly in the training business and offers a range of fee for service courses to the wider community.

STM has also developed links with other training providers so that a range of services can be offered to our customers.

The company has been successful in delivering a number of programs for the government, predominately in the areas that assist the unemployed.
